CLASSIFIED CYCLING

By moving to Antwerp, we shift up a gear in the world of cycling.

Classified Cycling Next level innovation

Classified Cycling designs and manufactures shifting systems for sports bikes, and is currently pioneering a game changer that eliminates the need for an internal hub and front derailleur. Shifting between big and small gears is done in the rear hub, but still with an 11- or 12-speed cassette. This is faster, more durable and more efficient. The financial support granted will allow the growing company to continue investing in production, distribution and sales.

Classified Cycling has taken the hub gear technology used on city bikes and developed it for racing, gravel and mountain bikes. A bike equipped with this technology has only one front chainring, but 22 or 24 gears.

Mathias Plouvier, co-founder and CEO of Classified Cycling: "Our drive technology and shifting systems allow cyclists to shift extremely fast and under load, which is essential for the best performance. We will therefore invest even more in our R&D at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, where we opened a facility this year alongside our - also new - headquarters in Antwerp. This is where we push the boundaries of what is possible on bicycles."
